Diddy Pays $5,000 Per Day To Artist And Songwriter Sting
Diddy 3rd biggest song costs him $5,000 per day
In 1997 Diddy released the song "I'll be missing you," dedicated to the great Biggie Smalls, which he sampled from the songwriter Sting without permission.
The tribute anthem spent 11 weeks on top of the Billboard Hot 100 and won Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group at the 40th Annual Grammy Awards.
In an interview with The Breakfast Club, songwriter Sting confirmed that Diddy asked for permission to sample his song "Every breath you take" after Diddy's song was released as a hit.
After responding to our report on him having to pay $2,000, he corrected us saying that he pays $5,000 per day.
